Gold Vermeil Acorn Stud Earrings

Tiny gold vermeil acorn stud earrings, beautifully crafted from a real acorn found on a tree in a small hamlet in The Chilterns, Hertfordshire. These delicate acorn charm earrings sit flat against the earlobe and are cast in solid recycled sterling silver, then gold plated with a thick 3 micron gold vermeil layer. They capturing the fine details on the acorn cap and the beautiful shape of the acorn nut. They can be paired with other nature charms from my oak leaf and acorn jewellery collection.

Gold vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is a high-quality form of gold plating in which a thick layer of gold (3 microns) is coated upon sterling silver. Taking good care of your gold vermeil jewellery will ensure it preserves the longevity of the piece.

Make sure to store it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. We would also recommend that you remove your gold vermeil jewellery when bathing or applying perfume as this can cause it to have a dull sheen or in rare cases can cause the gold plating to wear off more quickly.  I recommend that you clean it with Connoisseurs Jewellery Foam or a Connoisseurs Cleaning Cloth
