This is a very interesting and versatile technique, especially as I trained as a graphic designer. It involves taking a high contrast image in a photo editing program and making it purely black and white. It is then printed on to a special transfer film which is ironed onto the piece of silver. You then dip it in an acid solution that eats away at the areas of silver that are not protected by the transfer.
I am always expanding the range of designs with this process and can take a client’s photo, as long as it is fairly high contrast, and make it into a photo etching. If you have a project in mind please get in touch.
Chain lengths are available from 16 to 30 inches with a unique scroll clasp.
